Tax Preparation: Our Process
For clients with investable assets managed by BakerAvenue of $3M+, we offer complimentary tax preparation service.
A. We'll prepare a draft of your return and share it in your Box folder. A Zoom meeting or phone call will be scheduled to review your return.
B. Once it's approved by you, you'll receive an electronic signature request from DocuSign via email to your inbox.
C. If you are Married Filing Jointly, each spouse will receive a request and each are required to sign.
D. Once we have your signature, we'll electronically file the return and save an “As filed” version to your secure Box folder.
Please note: The IRS does not permit electronic filing for certain returns, most notably Gift Tax returns and Charitable Remainder Trusts – if relevant, you will receive paper copies of these types of returns by mail with a request for signatures and filing instructions.
